Fresh All-Inclusive Concept Near Malé

Dusit Hotels and Resorts is set to unveil its first dusitD2-branded property in the Maldives, with dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives scheduled to open in July 2025. Located just five minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, the resort offers travelers a convenient and immersive island escape near the capital.

Positioned as a lifestyle-focused, all-inclusive resort, dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives aims to blend playful luxury with accessible pricing and personalized service. The brand’s entry signals increasing competition in the mid-to-upper-tier segment of the Maldivian resort market.

Designed for Families and Experience-Seekers

The property will feature 125 beach and overwater villas, multiple dining outlets, a large infinity pool, a Namm Spawith 10 treatment rooms, and dedicated clubs for both kids and teens. Guests can also look forward to wellness programs, outdoor adventure experiences, and curated excursions.

Among the resort’s standout features is a private shipwreck dive site and underwater cave, making it a compelling destination for divers and marine enthusiasts. The all-inclusive package includes gourmet dining, non-motorized water sports, and selected excursions.

Brand Strategy Aligned with Market Trends

Dusit International is aligning the dusitD2 brand with the growing demand for experiential, wellness-driven travel. The brand also aims to attract short-stay visitors who want quick luxury getaways without long transfers from Malé.

The opening of dusitD2 Feydhoo comes as part of Dusit’s broader regional expansion strategy. The group already operates Dusit Thani Maldives, a luxury property in Baa Atoll, and plans to increase its footprint with lifestyle and leisure-focused brands.

Contribution to Local Employment and Tourism Diversity

In line with national priorities, the resort is expected to create new jobs and training opportunities for locals. Its proximity to Malé and accessibility will also support transit tourism, giving travelers more options for shorter stays while still enjoying the full Maldivian resort experience.

The launch of dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives is poised to broaden the country’s tourism offerings, making the Maldives more versatile and attractive to a wider traveler demographic.
